Windows Central app privacy concerns

I know it's an old story that has never addressed but I find that the WC app is privacy invasive. It's almost like one of those reported "flashlight" apps that spies on it's users. Before you guys bash this thread, I'd like you to go and take a look at Windows Central app permissions and be the judge

It's also worth to mention (also explained in the linked thread) that the ads related code isn't even loaded if you buy the app.

Seems reasonable though I can't help but notice WMPU guys is much more respectable in the way they deliver their contents

You're probably not aware of this, but maintenance of the Windows Central app has discontinued. Windows Central is looking for a new developer and hopefully a new and extra cool app will be created. I don't know what the current status is, unfortunately.
