Windows Hello completely missing after Win 10 install

Upgraded to Win 10 on 3 yr old Lenovo desktop. Installed K-Byte fingerprint reader and no option to use Hello appears, either with or without the software provided. Windows Hello appears to be nonexistent on the PC. I also have an older Authtentec fingerprint reader that does not work either although BOTH biometric devices appear in the device manager, with up to date drivers and are claimed to be working properly. Any help or advice appreciated.

Not all biometric devices are Windows Hello compatible, even if they are Windows compatible. Many are not.

You'll need to find a device that specifically states it is ready for Windows Hello.

even with a device which specifically states that it is for windows hello, windows hello STILL DOES NOT SHOW UP IN SETTINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have setup a pin, as advised, and i have restarted my computer, and still NO windows hello!!! why is m$ so freakin slack!!!!

which device are you trying to set up? Have you contacted the device manufacturer?
