Why is my laptop speaker having a jarring and screeching sound since I installed Windows 10?

my laptop speaker is having a jarring and screeching sound since I installed windows 10.

Earlier on windows 8 the speakers were just fine. I have reinstalled the drivers and ran them in compatibility mode. I also ran dxdiag.exe and checked for any notes, but it says that there is no problem in the sound bar. It works fine in a game though, the speaker work fine when playing the game only! Even the system sounds, cortana voice has the jarring sound. What should I do? Hope it is only a bug please reply..

Sound drivers often have vendor tweaks. It is likely generic drivers got installed with Windows 10. Check out your manufacturer site for your PC/laptop and try and update to the Windows 8.1 drivers.
