Why aren't photo apps opening any more after today's app-update (13.7.2015)?

Photos app not opening any more after todays app-update (13.7.2015)

After todays app-update to the photos app from the store, the photos app does not start anymore. It shows 'loading' for half a minute and then crashes / exits to start.
Reboot, Softreset, take out SD-Card, all to no avail. Anybody else? Lumia 1520, 10166, last hard reset on 10149 (so not update from 8.1, no restore from 8.1).

same here on lumia 635 - 10166. Thought it had something to do with the app trying to connect to onedrive but so far disabling wifi and cellular data dont fix this. hope theres and update for this soon

Not sure what happened but now it works for me
