Restore only text messages

Enjoying the preview, no problems with doing hard resets etc, but is it possible, when you get to the restore screen to not restore a backup, but then later restore the SMS/text messages?

SMS/text backup has "nothing" to do with the restore of a backup (apps+settings) during a set up.
If you have enabled the sms backup the texts will be synced with your MS account in the cloud.
If you set up a phone (after a hard reset or a new phone) and you use the same MS account you only need to enable the sms backup (during set up or after the set up). It does not matter if you restore a back up (apps+settings) or not the sms-es will show up on your phone.
