Recovery Tool stuck on Reading Phone Information

Using Windows Device Recovery Tool 3.0.1 on a Windows 8.1 laptop
My TMobile 925 is on Build 10536
I am trying to roll back to 8.1. The Recovery Tool sees my 925, I click on it, and it sits, with that damn circle of dots asking me to please wait.

I am tired of waiting, it is stuck, lol

Multiple reboots of both laptop and phone. Tried different cables.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I also have problems With this tool. manages to download image for my 830 and changes mode on my mobile - mobile reboots and the program says that it failed. iam also on 10536 - buggy ?!?!

what to do?

Exactly what i'm getting at the moment with my 640 running 10536.

One poster fixed the issue by using his Surface Pro 3.

I just tried my Surface Pro 2, and it worked perfectly.

Go figure.

Only have an RT and windows/dell laptop, so thats me stuffed
