Hey there. After hearing about 10581 fixing the future upgrade issues, I decided to move from slow to fast ring.

My Lumia 630 currently runs the latest build of slow ring (10.0.10166). I was able to switch to fast ring, do an update check and start download. Only problem though, the download is stuck at 0% (I left it for more than an hour). Did more than three hard resets already, used Wi-Fi and cellular to download, turned on/off Battery Saver to no avail. These are what shows up in the phone update page:

  • Insider Fast configuration update
  • Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones (10.0.10581.0)
  • Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones (10.0.10514.0)
  • Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones (10.0.10536.1000)
  • Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones (10.0.10512.1000)

Anyone have similar issue? And how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.

PS: I only have a Mac right now so I can't use the Windows Device Recovery tool.

Yeah but I don't wanna wipe everything on my phone. If there's any other solution would be great, if not than I will go with it.

I too am having the same issue, using L925. Tried 6 -7 times to download 10581. Mostly it fails downloading, sometimes it even finishes downloading the updates and errors out in preparing to install screen, saying "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later 0x80070003"

I really wanted to move to fast ring. Anyone please help if you have found a solution.
