I've had to set up my email accounts every time I upgraded to newest build. They've always worked.
Make sure you follow steps for 2-step authentication and/or app passwords. You need to log into your email accounts via a web browser. Then go into your account security settings. Then create an app password, randomly generated. Then use that password to log into your email account, instead of your normal email password. Each time you configure or setup email accounts on that one device, you'll need to throw away the old password and create a new password unless you wrote it down, which is kind of pointless.
