I used WDRT to revert my 640 LTE to WP8.1 to test to see if a problem was with W10M or if it was something else. (It turns out to be something else because it was a problem in WP8.1 as well.)

So I decided to upgrade again, but after joining the Insider Fast Ring all I got offered was 10586.29. Was .36 pulled? (I had it on this 640 LTE earlier today.)

Update to .29. Let the phone go thru all the updating etc... Hard reset (since coming from 8.1). Let phone go thru all the updating. Download the Windows Insider app...open, check off Slow or Fast ... then go to phone update ... look for updates ... you will then be able to upgrade to .36. It may take awhile looking for the update (almost 5 min. on my 830). It took my phone awhile to update to .36.

My 830 was on 0% update for .36 for a solid 30 minutes. I finally just quit checking. After about an hour it was @ 2% --- then it seemed to pick up speed. It took my phone a little over 4 and a half hours to complete the process.

For those 950xl owners who were able to upgrade from .29 to .36, what firmware version were you running when you completed the install? Trying to figure out if the 2008 firmware version which I currently have on board is the culprit; some on 2017 version have posted success; some on version previous to 2008 similar.

Why would the firmware version mess up the storage partition needed my WM to download and install an upgrade? Notice that restore back to .11 via WDRT 3.1.5 and subsequent OTA upgrade to 0.29 work fine. Also, the WDRT firmware version of 2008 appears current, though the OS is one back.
