I received updates for word, excel, powerpoint and onenote yesterday.

Today I tried creating and editing word documents without an internet connection and it worked. Previously it would always ask me to connect to the internet to check my office 365 subscription

Can anyone confirm this? Especially if you don't have an office 365 account

Not sure about you, but mine had been working fine ever since I upgraded my L830 to W10M a few weeks ago (before this update). So yeah.

its free for any screen under 10"

Ideally it is free. But several people including myself had reported that the office apps would ask you to sign into your office 365 account to edit and create documents. So there was a problem somewhere.

Check the feedback forums, dozens of posts on making office mobile free and not subscription based

I can't edit on my phone right now because it is asking for a office 365 account. I have version
17.6326.10162.0
Not certain it is the latest but I did check the store.

This happened before and I think I logged out and in to fix it.... I was showing off office on my phone to a coworker and found out this glitch happened again.

Edit: Just tried airplane mode and it didn't work

^well then that's just daily life at w10 city, a journey of unlimited buggyness, try your luck at feedback palace, they might fix it soon™
