Just installed the latest Build on my Lumia 730. No noticeable changes. Battery life seems to have improved. Too early to tell though.

Starting from the 10586.122 update - you need to choose slow or Release preview ring to get the updates. Fast ring is for Devices shipped with Windows 10. Just so the news about and checked my phone and the update was already downloaded n waiting to be installed!

Just set it to update in the middle of the day..... Wish it will be better!!! Lumia 640 LTE dual sim

So 10586.107 is the latest build for fast ring... Now being eclipsed by better, more stable slow ring .164?

I'm still new to this.... Of the mindset fast means the latest builds in general.

Fast ring is already on Redstone branch, which is the latest development. So we all old hardwares can only live on the older branch thus Slow ring or Production Preview ring.... :sweaty:

The way things are right now

The latest build is 14267.1004. This build is only available for lumia 950, 950xl, 650 and a couple of other phones that were released with W10M already installed. This is the fast ring build

Slow ring build is 10586.164. These builds are for phones that did not release with W10M installed.

So if you change to fast, you can get 14267.1004 only if you own a 950 or 650. If you change to slow, then you get 10586.164

I expect and hope that in the next couple of weeks, the 14xxx builds will be released to insiders with phones other than 950. When that happens, I expect fast to receive the latest 14xxx builds and not 10586 builds

Yeah yeah, my 1520 battery life seems to have improved like big time. I still need to wait and see how long it actually lasts with my usage. 8.1 lasted at least 2 days and it can reach up to 3. I do turn off most of the background apps plus disable unnecessary features in both 8.1 and 10 versions. If battery life's on par with 8.1 or even better then this should be the build for production IMO.

One minor issue though - my Outlook Calendar no longer show the date and events on the live tile. I must've turned off something or it's a bug.

Do tell us in time about you battery, please.

I was HUGE fan of WINDOWS PHONE but after buying lumia 950XL i have worst experience even with new build 10586.164 its heats up battery totally unacceptable 3340MAH what garbage this phone is ... I destroy my hard earned money really feeling BAD.
W10M is no way near to finished.... i am selling it for 350$ no one will buy this thing from me!

Do you really accept to charging a phone twice in a day with the moderate usage and having battery life is 3340MAH ... worst thing for 700$ in Pakistan i am scathing my head for that moment when i bought this....

12 hours only since new build realease, and already all these certainties? Ok...
Sorry for your experiences. I cannot suggest you anything that other 950 owners did for optimal experience, I think you don't are interested anymore

(I wish I had 350 extra bucks , I need a bigger display for my daily work)

Unfortunately I spoke too soon. Standby seems to be better now - I mean it seems the phone is saving much battery life when not in use. But when I used it for Edge and other stuff - it's like a thirsty camel ready to suck out the entire oasis in no time. Basically it is not as good as 8.1. Battery life on standby time seems to have really improved but we'll see.

few hours in with .164 .. Battery life is in par or improved compared to the previous build. Stable. Still the resuming is there (noticed it on whatsapp) - other than that, no hassle on my daily driver...

So far so good on my 950XL DS. Minor:

- photos app forgot to display favorites on live tile
- did a reboot while in automatic quiet hours, phone booted with quiet hours off
- tried to copy a link from one email, and paste it in an email draft, but the 'paste' button didn't show. Something with Office vs. non-Office clipboard?

Other than that everything seems fine.

I'm changing my battery on my Lumia 1320. Running it on build .164 . Should I rollback to 8.1 before giving it or just get it changed with windows 10 OS?
