Re: Presumptive Nominee for AU 10.0.14393.5 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

My contacts went missing after this upgrade, I could see them for sometime, now all the contacts from my primary email ID have disappeared in the phone. Anyone else have the same problem?

Ok i went to accounts and did some settings change just to force it to sync, and looks like it has synced back all the contacts

A question for all you Windows Mobile experts out there......

If 10.0.14393.5 is the anniversary update build, what can those of us on this build expect come Aug 2? Basically nothing?

probably a finishing touch that won't bump the number but just prep insiders for the next update

Yeah, the one drawback of being an Insider is it makes Aug. 2 kinda anticlimactic.

By incorporating Slow and Release Ring users in with the Fast crowd, Microsoft gets more telemetry and the AU has a better chance to see a small bump above .5 with more fixes.

My guess anyway.

Not for my:
[Win10 Pro x64] Lenovo ThinkPad Twist WFWwAS+WFC | MBAMP | MBAEP | MBARW beta | Bitdefender AV Plus 2016
[Win10 Pro x64] Microsoft Surface Pro 2 WFWwAS+WFC | MBAMP | MBAEP | MBARW beta | Bitdefender AV Plus 2016
But I'll probably just chill and wait a couple days before even trying. I DO like that MS offers downloadable media tools so that you can do a "Clean" install if you want.
I never put either one of them on Insider. :winktongue:

1. Cortana live tile is not working

2. App updates for every app isn't shown, like store . infact there are updates for apps that i have uninstalled -_-

3. panorama missing.

4. edge crashing after trying to copy paste and search a text from mail.

there should be a different build :v

I keep getting that issue too. It's almost as if it shut down. I wonder if double tap feature is what causes it. It's hard to tell if it's new firmware or the os builds. I also get random restarts.

most likely its some bug in the os, cause i haven't got any firmware update on mY 730. i have done a hard reset today, lets see if the issue turns up again.

Re: Presumptive Nominee for AU 10.0.14393.5 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

Without a doubt 14393 is the release branch - it's tagged as rs1_release. 14393.5 is tagged as rs1_release_inmarket and has been given a KB number and so it's reasonable to assume that on Tuesday people's devices will go to 14393.0 and then to 14393.5.

There are two further 14393 builds in existence - .31 and .33. These are both tagged as rs1_release_sec, which I am guessing means that if they are flighted it will be on Tuesday 9th (Patch Tuesday). Insiders might see them before then. The interesting thing is the big jump in build numbers, which makes me think that these later builds are probably cumulative fixes as well as security patches.

This is just my uninformed guesswork based on a quick look at buildfeed ;)

Deactivating Bluetooth (SYNC in my car) via the action center while in my car ... phone locks up for a little while. Repeatable for me with my 830. Battery life certainly seems much better for my device compared to Threshold .494. Glad I installed this one.

OUTCH!!! Are you willing to consider WDRT to take the phone back to 8.1, don't do a restore, and then up it to 393.5?

Re: Presumptive Nominee for AU 10.0.14393.5 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

I had a very stable and functioning 950 XL on the early 14393 builds, and also prior to the new firmware release.

Now on 14393.5 and FW 01078.00053.16236.35005 both 950 and 950XL have borked Bluetooth and battery performance took a nosedive.

I went from extremely pleased to extremely peeved. I need a new hobby ;), maybe my Ubuntu phone and hard drive partition will get dusted off.

Don't worry, man. I know it get's old, but it won't last much longer.

Hey, did you know you can still buy new ICONs on ebay? :winktongue:
