Re: Presumptive Nominee for AU 10.0.14393.5 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

Wow, just wanted to post something I just noticed....

So my Dual Sim Lumia 950XL, while on production ring of updates, battery life was absolutely horrible, I'd have to charge it 2-3 times a day with my usage...

I'm sitting here today, and with the AU (redstone) build, after a full day I've only gone through ~28% worth of battery usage... This is awesome (I was on the verge of calling MS to ask for a battery replacement).

Few notes comparing scenarios:
-In both versions, I have the same apps, same usage, etc...
-In both versions, I used the device the same amount...
-In both versions, I performed a full hard reset after updates (I always go clean now whenever an update is released)

I'm very impressed, and still loving the anniversary update! :)

This is absolutely freaky now...

I've been on IG, Facebook, and Messenger for 3 hours straight (no standby), and from a full charge I now have 52% battery left... 3 hours of this usage would have killed the battery before I updated... Very nice!

No doubt you were letting everyone know how GREAT the Windows 10 Phone is and what a fabulous ecosystem this is... :winktongue:

Having this on my L830. I don't find it very efficient on battery consumption.
It would not last a day with heavy use.

I am getting short drops on Groove over Bluetooth on a new Headset while running, seems like Motion Senor is disrupting the BT signal?
Zoom when reviewing a picture taken, is hit and miss, pinch to reduce pic size turns screen to black; need to back out to correct.

Why have they not released .67 to insiders yet?

Are you talking about 393.5? If you ARE the fixes for battery consumption on older devices was on the release of 393
<begin paste>
•We also fixed an issue causing some battery drain on older devices like the Lumia 535, 640, 735, 830, 930 and Icon.
<end paste>
I heard from RHAPDOG that he had to do a Soft Reset to actually 'get' the battery improvement and was delighted.

So I did a Soft Reset on my ICON and bingo - Happy Dog. :winktongue:

Of course I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Onenote is not updating pages; enter information a week ago on my Computer, and it still hasn't showed up on my 950XL, and I have hit sync Notebook at least 10 times.

THAT'S not good! That's part of this "ecosystem" that we're all buying in to.
Sorry, man. But you'll get it.

EDIT: sounds weird I know, but have you tried syncing in reverse? Like if the docs are on your laptop notebook, sync your phone at your laptop, over the air.

Don't want to be a nuisance, but humor me. I know you did a clean install and a hard reset, but try a Soft Reset now. It can't hurt and you never know. I would

My 📞 is turned off every night.
It takes that power off when I browse for a couple hrs.

I don't think it was the build causing my reboot issues. I decided to take out my SD card to see if that was it and when I opened my case I noticed the battery was ballooned. It's not flat like it should be but swollen and the only thing that kept the contacts touching was the case. It doesn't even snap in properly. Do ms stores carry batteries for replacements? I was thinking of going tomorrow to get it exchanged.

Is there a .67 build? I sure hope you're right because .5 ain't ready for primetime yet. I really hope they fix the calendar live tile not updating issue which had been around for several builds.

Re: Presumptive Nominee for AU 10.0.14393.5 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

yep! the newest one is .67 as of right now: https://buildfeed.net/page-1/
Maybe that's the one they're saving/working on for the Aug 9th and Aug 16th AU release for mobile.

EDIT:
Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update rolling out August 16th for carriers, 9th for open market | Windows Central
Link thanks to Chintan in a previous post.
.67 is stated in the very last line of the article as the likely candidate for AU Mobile on 8/9 and 8/16

I too have seen Groove over BT dropouts. Roughly half a second every 10 minutes or so. Otherwise my 950XL DS is running great. Really happy with it. Discharging approximately 1.2% an hour which is more than acceptable
