Windows 10 Mobile Insiders program is running fine. I can opt-out and rejoin without any issue.

(however, on both my 1020 and 1520 it doesn't give me any new non production builds and it didn't get me the FCU/1709 update. I cannot even get my 1020 from 8.1 to 10 anymore)

Can somebody confirm that Windows 10 Mobile Insiders program is closed? After I reset my phone I can't join to program.

I've got an old Lumia 635 lying spare running 1703 build 15063.674 just to test your question I have successfully just joined the Windows Insider Programme.

How are you determining "battery wear"? Having zero capacity degradation after two yours would be highly unusual, especially in service in a device that was being constantly either discharged or re-charged. Lithiums aren't likely to go two years without degradation.... EVERYTHING degrades them, including storage ;) That is one of the reasons I like the L950 with its replaceable battery.

AIDA64 says I have 0% wear on my 950 and 5% wear on my 4 year old 1020.

Hmmm. Just put the 950XL DS back into service after running with the Nexus 6P for the last few weeks. For how long have you not been able to choose ringtones as alarm sounds in Alarms & Clock app? I can only choose default, vibrate only and selections from my music. Does anyone know if legacy choices still work? (Doesn't really matter to me, as I reset all my alarms to default out of fear they wouldn't sound with my previous choice.)

...but unable to move to 1709 FCU. I know it is not a supported device but should I be able to move to 1709?

The 640 is not supported either but Windows Insider moved it to 1709 some time ago.

Saving photos from edge and apps (FB) is a hit and miss. Sometimes it takes a while to show up. (950Xl, DS). I know I have picture storage options set to SD card. It's barely ⅓ full and definitely not "seems faster"

... !

My battery life at present isn't as good has it has been in the recent past.

I get these too on my 950XL. Unrelated question, but can we actually expect anymore Insider builds now or is this the best we get?

I think the commitment from MS is Bug Fixes & Security Patches... no new major features are to be expected.

I think this is exactly what people have to expect. Anything beyond is frosting on the cake.

There were 2 versions of the 635 on with 512MB and one with 1GB.

Re alarm sounds use ringtone maker to create the alarms.

I have the Nokia, alarm mp3 that was used for the 1020 when it came out.

I have been on 15254.1 for a couple weeks on my 950XL didn't realize it, I was using my 950 on 15254.1 and Cortana and Continuum were behaving badly so I switched to my XL thinking it was on production.

It seems to be fine. I had an issue with iHeart radio not resuming audio to my BT headset and a couple other odd audio resume issues, so I did a soft reboot and it is fine.....the few apps I use work great. Battery lasts all day.

I will do a hard reset on the 950 and re try it, I prefer the smaller device if it will work correctly.

Has anyone done a restore from a different phone? My XL is working good, could I restore the 950 from the 950 XL restore option on initial set-up?

No new features is not a deal breaker for me. But I hope we get future fast ring updates to fix things like battery life and the frustrating random resets. Surely fixing those would not be classed as new features?
