I'm looking forward to the release of the Forza Motorsport 7 Demo tomorrow to see if the game is actually Integrated Graphics friendly. According to multiple reports, including one on this site, Forza did what no other developer has done with a post-2012 PC game: include high fps support for integrated graphics (Intel HD 520).
Imagine how much optimization they had to do to provide compatibility from GTX 740 (PassMark score of 1582) to Intel HD 520 (PassMark score of 858), an 84% difference in performance. They could have driven right to Intel HD 620 compatibility, since Kaby Lake was already in mainstream production. Microsoft Mixed Reality did so.
Looking forward, is this level of compatibility going to be maintained looking forward in future Forza Motorsport and Horizon titles? I sure hope so.
What are your opinions of this matter?
