    I have seen people here often complain about not being able to text numbers not saved as a mobile number. But I just did it. If you go to your text conversation, and if the contact has multiple numbers, there is a switch button at the bottom. You can select any type of number there.

    The problem is that if there is no number in the mobile field, you won't be able to bring up the contact in the Messaging app at all. However, if your contact has a number besides the number in the mobile field, then yes, you can pick one of his/her alternate numbers.

    I never noticed that very nice especially for contacts that have more than one mobile number.

    for contacts with no mobile numbers saved if u go into the messaging app hit the new msg button then the new msg comes up there is another plus symbol at the top where u can add a contact to text to. By going in and selecting the contact with no mobile number it should will let u text them and select a number to text to
