At&t blocking tethering???

Well I bought a Samsung Focus Flash and unlocked it
I am not using a At&t sim
3/4G works fine
But when i try to tether i get a message saying "Call 611 or go to att.com/mywireless"
I dont have a At&t account and why wont they let me tether im not even on their network??

I am fairly sure you will have to call ATT and pay a little extra for the ability to tether. I think it is $10 or $20 extra a month and they will let you DL 1gb or 2gb extra per month as well.

The phone is probably locked to only allow at&t tethering. You'll probably need an unbranded unlocked phone not a carrier branded phone to get tethering. Or flash an unbranded rom.

I cant pay for a new package since im not even in the US nor on At&t
My phone is unlocked
I am using a sim from my country
But my phone still thinks it on At&t
Any other way round it?

This is normal with a carrier-branded phone. It happens on Android as well, but Android has lots of tethering apps freely available in the Play Store that allow tethering anyway.

Hi. I read this post and it worked for me. You just have to download the app called: Access Point. Install it and then erase all the info from settings-cellular.
