Hi. I've been stuck on WP 7.10.877.98 with firmware version 1600.2479.7740.11451 for some time now. When the firmware update came for the Nokia 800 my phone stubbornly would not upgrade. So, I've decided I should try resetting to the beginning and starting all over again. Will simply hitting the "reset your phone" button under settings > about do that? From there I assume I could just re-enter my details and things would magically flow back to the phone, albeit on the older firmware and OS? Is this correct, or have I very much missed the point? Thanks in advance. (Also, apologies for unformatted post - the WYSIWYG doesn't seem to want to play with IE10 for some reason.)

Resetting your phone that way will not revert back to orginal OS or firmware version.

If you created a restore point in zune, then it can be accomplished that way. I don't know if there's a stock ROM floating around that you could flash it with.

So flashing might be the best option? I just need the tethering more or less - is there likely to be a most-up-to-date "rom" available? Or should I look for a stock "basic" rom? And finally, is there a super-simple guide to doing this?

Any advice would be welcome. I reset to factory setting hoping my local Vodafone would be able to flash it to the newest firmware - sadly they couldn't and now it won't recognise ANY updates through Zune...!
