Messages app not working properly (facebook)

I've seen others post similar for me I used my windows phone all the time it was the only way I used facebook. messages app would load my facebook contacts. now It will load maybe 3 people, when there is actually 45 people on fb. if they message me it goes to my inbox. the 3 it shows online after 30 seconds they go offline and if I message them and get a reply, the reply goes to my inbox (facebook inbox) and it doesnt show up on the messages app.

I see similar posts here, I have them connected, I've re synced, I reset my phone (mistake dont do this) is this a known problem? will an update come soon.

It appears to be an outlook problem. can I get a confirmation on this?
my outlook also only shows 2 people online. it let's people message me, but it doesnt show up. on the list.
