Manual lock on WP7?

Hi all,

I don't think that my question is specific to the model of my phone (Lumia 820), but I have a question regarding the locking of the device.

I have my lock time set to 30 minutes which suits me, but if I want to manually lock the device before that time I don't see to be able to...i.e. if I don't want the kids picking it up and playing with it...

I wondered if anyone knew a way around this, or if it's down to the OS or something?....hopefully is just me missing the obvious ;-)

Just press the lock-unlock button towards the right hand side of your phone just under the volume keys.

If you set the lock time to 30 mins it will lock in 30 mins? I am not sure I fully understand what you want though.

Do you mean password lock? If so, it doesn't seem like it judging from the options in the drop down menu.

Hi, Thanks for the replies...

yes, the password lock. All I wanted was to set the password lock to say "30 minutes" - and lock automatically, and, have the ability to manually lock it myself before the 30 minutes if I wanted to.

I used to be able to do this on my iPhone, and I believe you can do this on android...

I think that using "Each Time" on password lock will suite you the best.
It will be locked with password each time you lock your phone.

But if you prefer, you can choose 30 seconds.
