WP 8.1 - error 80188309

Hi all

I am trying to update to 8.1 but I am getting the 80188309 error: "Update was downloaded but could not be opened".

Is it space problem? I have 1.3 GB free.

I get the same issue with 1.2 GB of free space. What device are you on? I use a Huawei Ascend W1. Used to cope well with these preview updates, so no idea what's the problem. Anyone?

Sama problem for my Huawei Ascend W1 with 1.13 GB free.
Retried the update after a shut down but the error is still there :unhappy:

I have the same problem with my W1 in Italy. After thinking for a while I figured out what the problem could be. Speaking with some members of an Italian WP community I've noticed that Huawei didn't delivered a firmware upgrade along with GDR3, and they are the only oem to do this. This could be an explaination to the problem that all W1 and W2 have problem with 8.1, and why in this moment all the other people are enjoying 8.1. I'm very disappointed, every time there is an update it is always the same story. For every Update we have to wait months later than Nokia user, even if they recive big firmware. Excuse me for the rough words, but they are really mother****ers...

someone said in Tieba w1, “update " your w1with the 5310 package(a very old version) , and then update 8.1,there will be a success!
ps:his w1 was not any ISP Custom machine,.

Someone reportedly having the problem with a Lumia 925:

so it could possibly be more generic than that.

Same issue, here was 02 UK. Had the previous developer gdr3 no problem.
