there is a chance, *NOT* all your app/game data and app/game settings will be backed up! Maybe none of them will be!Please be warned! Also make sure you're near your dedicated Wi-Fi and an extra computer or device that has access to internet services!
After you install Windows Phone 8.1 set everything up the way you want it. Then go to settings -> backup. Select apps+settings. Select back up now. Now you'll hard reset the phone. Go to settings -> about and swipe down and select reset phone. It'll also ask if you want to erase your sd card. make sure to select the box. Answer yes to reset your phone. After a few minutes of the cogs spinning your system will boot up and ask some questions. It'll ask for your wifi password, enter it. It'll ask if you want to start fresh or or restore from a backup. Select restore. Windows Phone will want to send a security code to your secondary email. Get the code and enter it. Your backup will restore.Windows Phone might say you have previous data on your sd card and ask to erase it say yes. Then it'll ask you if you want to install apps to your SD card. Go to storage sense, select install new apps to SD card. And then it'll start installing all your apps. You'll have to go back to battery saver and turn off the NON-IMPORTANT apps you don't want running in the background and using up your precious memory.
