Can't record sound after 8.1

So I updated my 925 to 8.1. After the update I immediately tried Cortana and guess what she can't hear me. I tried third party recorders from the store but still no luck. I tried the built in Microsoft camera video recorder still no sound from videos. I then immediately tried Nokia camera video recorder and boom there's sound coming out. That was a relief, now I know it's not a hardware issue(or is it?). I'm thinking of hard reset but that'll be my last option for I don't want to install my almost 5Gb of data. Anyone has same issue? thanks in advance. Cheers

10 minutes ago the same. I was using Cortana then connected to Bluetooth and then after she can't hear me. Rebooted twice. Phone works.
