Hi Everyone,

Running WP8.1 on Lumia 920, noticed the default alarm clock produces very quiet alarms even with notifications volume set to max (10/10).
Interestingly though, calls, notifications, 3rd party alarms, etc. work great.
Is anyone having the same issue? Any ideas on how to solve this?

Boris.

I have had the same problem. I have a Lumia 920 as well.

I would really like to know if there is a way to fix this.

I had the same problem. But I tested the two volume controls.

Turns out the alarm is linked to the media and apps volume (not ringer and notifications). Therefore just make sure you have that volume up enough before setting the alarm.

Thanks man! However, your advice doesn't work for me either. I solved the problem by creating a special, overly-loud ringtone on PC and then transfering it to Lumia.

How did you do it? I mean creating "overly-loud" ringtone?

There're tons of different ways, here's one:

1. Choose a ringtone you like and upload it here: Increase MP3 Volume. How to make mp3 louder? Normalize mp3 now! Get video in mp3, mp4, 3gp, flv in just 1 click!
2. Amongst 3 manual loud options choose either left one (noticable volume increase, doesn't damage sound quality) or middle one (great volume increase, may ruin sound quality)
3. Download and upload to your phone!
