Disappointing Wi-Fi speeds after 8.1

Installed windowsphone 8.1 preview a couple of days ago, wedges the cellular speed seems great, the Wi-Fi network speed has dropped significantly on my Lumia 920, also the right channel of my headphones stop working after every other notification alert, have to restart everytime. Any solutions, any one with same issues?

Need to keep in mind this is a beta...
You can try a hard reset though

an obvious symptom of bad OS installation.

Wi-Fi is wonky on many phones. I have mine turned off permanently for now. Stopped the power button lockups, and my battery life improved when I did so as well. (Which is the opposite of what should happen.)

Anyways, my Lumia 920 also has a cracked digitizer and a screen with yellowish slots spots on it. The replacement digitizer and screen comes at around 100 bucks with shipping. Is it worth it?
I don't wanna let a good device go to waste for screen but then again, 100 bucks seems alot for a screen of a 2 years old drive
