I discovered that the notifications and media volume are relegated to being one and the same again when you have headphones plugged in.

I was listening to a lecture on YouTube while driving, so the volume was at 30, and the car stereo volume was turned up as the professor wasn't the loudest. Suddenly my wife texted, and the notification must have been 130 decibels. I swear I was seeing stars it was so loud.

I pulled over and fiddled with it, but I discovered that as soon as you plug in headphones (or any patch cord), that it takes away the two volumes and replaces it with one. Which... kinda defeats the purpose of having multiple volumes.

Even unplugging, setting notification volume at 1, and replugging does nothing. Still as loud as your media is set.
