your credentials didnt work got this message

Assuming you are using windows 8 , if you are using a local account for signing into your PC. If not then your microsoft account. You are saying that you dont use any local account so I would suggest you to try entering your microsoft account credentials

Yes, you need a password for RDP to work
Also make sure you don't have any 3rd party virus software that has a firewall which needs configuring for access

No buddy! You don't need to have a local account with password. Have you tried connecting the remote desktop preview app without entering any credential? I mean leave the credential spaces blank and then connect

So, most of the time it wont connect saying that my PC can't be found, error: 0x104. I have gotten it working a couple of times though just by repeatedly trying to reconnect so I know I have everything set up correctly. Every now and then it will throw up a screen saying "The certificate of the remote PC can't be verified." If I try to connect anyway, sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont.

What does this certificate business mean? Is this what is preventing the app from connecting most of the time? How do I fix it?

I connected to a Windows 2003 server and a 2008 server, not limited to just desktop OS's, so it works like normal RDC....I even have a server on a different port (hackers try to get in via 3398) and I was able to do <severname>:<port>

Gota figure the ins and outs of the control but, it looks pretty good sof ar..
