It's perfectly possible if you take a screen capture of the lock screen and rotate it through 180 degrees...

Yup, my 1020 did this. I just did a simple soft restart to fix. I do have the remote desktop app installed. Not sure if that's what caused it or just coincidence.

It must be remote app related, I installed yesterday and bang!
Tho a simple phone restart solved it and its normal now.
