Will service center repair phone with WP 8.1?

Since morning my phone's power button isn't responding 90% of time. It is loose too. The phone is under warranty and running windows phone 8.1.

I need to know that can I submit the phone with windows 8.1 installed for repairing. Won't that void my warranty? Or I should reinstall WP 8 and then try?

As far as I see this it should not be a problem to submit the phone with 8.1 in it as some users have done this. Also there is a sticky thread about warranties you should check that out.

It's a hardware issue, nothing to do with software installed. It's not like it's illegal (like iphone jailbreak).

iPhone jailbreak is not illegal. You can give your jailbroken iPhone in the and they would restore it for you

NVM I gave my phone after restoring WP8 and no questions asked. And I just got a call that my phone is repaired in just 5 hrs. LOL. Nokia FTW! <3
