Reminders for birthdays

Calendar app reminds me for the friend's birthdays fine, but a day early.. why?

Indeed, and also, is there a way to turn these birthday reminders off? Where does one do that?

muitosabao - on your phone go to Calendar > settings. Then turn off birthday calendar.

Srvgodora - to change the day you get the birthday reminder, log in to outlook.com, go to your calendar and then change the settings there.

Related to this, the reminders are supposed to pull from our People/Contacts tab in Outlook.com, right? I have birthday info entered for lots of my contacts but very few of them actually create reminders, unfortunately (although some do). Any thoughts on what might be going on or how I might correct it so I receive reminders consistently?

Wow, just realized how old this post was, but just happened to see it today. Very helpful. I had figured the 1-day reminder on birthdays was just some standard reminder for bdays. Glad to know it can be changed because I would want to be reminded like a week before, so I have time to get a card in the mail!
