A quick question -- I always had the habit of going into settings and actively turning my cellular data connection to off whenever I turned wifi on. I have always done this in an attempt to save battery. In WP8, as I recall, leaving both on would show them both in the top bar. In WP8.1, however, turning wifi on while data is on then only shows the wifi indicator and doesn't show the cellular data indicator.
This got me wondering if there is actually any need to turn off "data" after turning wifi on. Or is the system already turning it off when wifi is connected? This would be nice to know, as if it doesn't require any extra battery to leave data "on" I would just leave it on at all times. Does anyone know?
