Can you guys confirm Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 improves battery life?

Seems so for me after my first full charge, but I don't wanna jinx it cause sometimes the battery goes down slow initially then all of a sudden it falls off a cliff.

Hey himmatsj,
I found a hidden battery drainer after update to 8.1. I did all my battery saving customs as I had them on WP8 and still the battery was draining faster than before the update. The only thing I did extra three days ago was to disable the features of WiFi Sense. Apparently this was for me a hidden battery drainer. Now my battery is almost at the WP8 with Black FW level, aprox 47-50 hours. I hope it helps your case.

After the latest update yes the battery has improved. My Nokia Lumia 1320 used to initially drain out in 36 hrs but after the update it lasts up till 48 hrs.

On my Lumia 520 i don't see any big changes. Battery now and before update lasts around 1 day.

Huge improvement in battery life for me. On both my 920 & my 1520. My 1520 can go nearly 2 days between charges and I'm a pretty heavy user.

My phones improved as well from between 10% for my 1520 to 25% for my 1020

I have only been using me 1520 since the 2nd update to 8.1 and the standby time is still at 0.3% per hour but my % per hour in use has gone down so I'm well happy.

I have a At&t Nokia 1020 after this update and noticed I had a terrible battery drain leaving it overnight from 100% to 12% for 7 hrs in standby and the phone seems really getting hot too. So I did reset my phone and restore all my apps and let on standby last night again and for my surprise the battery is still 96% on 7 hrs standby and seems the phone is cooler and smoother...too
