I am walking part of the john muir trail (sierras) in july. I can't find any topo map applications that show the trails in the mountains. I have tried the bing maps, google maps, etc. but nothing is suitable because they don't show the trails. Especially anything that is available offline. This has probably been asked before sorry. It is not worth taking the window phone 8.1 phone on the walk at this point due to it's weight.

I always end up having to take my old android phone when I go bushwhacking simply because it has an awesome app, " backcountry navigator". Works off line and i wish WP had it.
I really find myself missing certain apps lately. Hopefully someone will chime in with a solution.

Quick search of the Windows Phone showed these. Not sure if this is what your looking for or not.

Saw that. One of the reviewers said it does not work offline. This ability is pretty critical for backcountry use.
Edit, after re reading the description it says it does work offline.

" backcountry navigator" has not been ported to wp 8.1. The other apps mentioned just don't work.
