So the other night I was playing around how to get some image running in my music and video app because before it was just a black boring screen. Remember these services are connected to your Microsoft and Xbox account not outlook. So first
1 You should login to the account your windows phone is connected to and change your region to USA.
2 Make sure the your Xbox account and windows phone account is the same (and you could also change the region of your xbox account to USA)
3 Sync your Microsoft account
4 Restart your phone
This should update current settings.
This should solve the black background in xbox music and xbox video. You should also be able to see artist wallpaper on the lock screen and the music icon should appear in cortana.
It worked for me all the best
