People hub integration for messaging apps

Hi
i'm just confused as why aren't all the messaging apps(Viber,What's app,We chat and so on) updated to support integration with peoples hub?
is there any reason?
maybe we should start leaving reviews and making request to these app developers to include this feature

I think its because the official 8.1 update is just starting to roll out. I'm sure when it hits more devices and becomes more commonly used, we will see apps support this new feature. As of right now, devs want to support the most amount of users and as of a few weeks ago there was a article stating that only 5% have 8.1. Just need to give it sometime as I too want to see this feature used more.

facebook and facebook beta has support for this and i don't see any problems with them on windows phone 8 devices
i don't think it has any comparability issues
