I restarted my phone. Turned off all apps. Put less tiles on the homescreen. But still it heats up even without doing anything. I'm just waiting to drain the battery until it is dead and charge it up to see if it fixes the heating problem.

So while waiting, any suggestions on this matter?

Ensure that you have good network signal and reception. I experienced the same heating up and draining when I stayed in a place where there was no network signal - I suppose the phone kept on searching for a 2G/3G/4G network in vain. Since the 3G/4G antenna needs a lot of power whenever it "searches" for a network, this most probably is the culprit. The "fix" for this scenario is to either connect to a WiFi network or to simply put your phone to airplane mode until you can get good reception.

The next culprit is that your phone is searching for WiFi connections - if your WiFi networking is enabled and if you're phone is not connected to any WiFi network. The "fix" for this scenario is to ensure that you are connected to a dedicated WiFi network and that your signal reception is good for that network so your phone will stop scanning, or if that's not available simply (again) put your phone to airplane mode.

Going to airplane mode is the safest way to eliminate these two factors. Let us know if this works.

I'm quite sure both of your suggested factors don't seem to be the problem. I am having a good reception 4/5 bars actually and I'm not connected or trying to connect to a WiFi connection.

But all is well now for no reason, I just left it in front on top of the table and it the heating has subsided by itself.

Thank you for your suggestion, I'll try to go airplane mode the next time this happens again, cause I might have missed some stuff that tries to find a connection.

EDIT: I've added a live folder and 2 apps to the homescreen and it began to heat up again -_- Not really as hot as before but it began acting up again.

EDIT2: I'm just texting and it already heats up >.<
