Daniel said 10th April but either way for non-US customers it sucks mostly as Cortana the best bit, has been left out for rest of the world. So no matter when I get my preview, I won't be as happy.

I was a bit disappointed but not surprised by the total lack of mention of Windows RT. (there was a reference to RT in the IDE screenshot, but that was about it)
I saw no mention of RT when talking about Universal apps. That would've been the time to say how universal apps would catapult Windows RT to be the premiere tablet OS. But they didn't, which makes me wonder.Doesn't look like RT is getting the 8.1 Update

That's not a safe assumption. In the past, Surface TV ads showcased Pros. Then consider that only Surface Pro devices were used during the keynote. They always mentioned phone, tablet and pc. I think they meant rt by mentioning tablet
I believe he was referring to "8.1 update 1"... that was leaked a few weeks ago so it will most likely be available to the RT.Um, RT was already updated to 8.1. It follows the regular Windows update schedule.
Does anyone know if HTC 8S is getting the update?
If anyone has 8.1 installed can you tell me how much space does the OS take?
Make up your mind... either they missed the ball or it was a kick in the nuts. :winktongue:Bit of a kick in the nuts knowing Cortana isn't coming to Australia - from what they've said in the conference anyway.
They may have missed the ball :\
The leaked copies of the updates have an installer for the rt tablets.
I dont see how a file manager would help. I heard weed is good for that though!Where is file manager
