Yeah they mentioned Rudy worked with Microsoft on it. He made several different templates or themes for the lockscreen from what I understand. Looks really cool!

Devs will be able to use some APIs to write apps that can totally control the lockscreen and content and everything (just paraphrasing what Joe said at build). Basically there are a load of different options you could end up with - for example at build they showed off another lockscreen which has a cool clock thing in the centre, a centred-justified detailed status section and a day counter at the bottom. MS has opened up the gates to developers to write new themed lockscreens that can show more dynamic information and content. I guess we can only wait for the lockscreen customiser apps that make use of this....
