Questions about gifs and toasts.

Since I'm not getting any answers that truly answer my questions elsewhere, maybe you guys know..

Does anyone know whether or not .gif is supported in text messaging?
Also, is it finally possible to hide what a text message actually says during a toast notification and have it display only who is texting you?

Yes, I know it wasn't covered in the keynote. It also hasn't been covered in any hands-on I've seen thus far. Just wanted to know if anyone had any source I hadn't seen yet or hands-on themselves. Thanks for the reply though.
