Loving the new features of 8.1... It's just a little sad some of the buttery smooth animations are gone with the added features. On my Icon at least, when I go back to the start screen from Office or some other app, the tiles don't come in as smoothly as before. It's giving me flashbacks to my Android days of stuttering animations.

Mine seems fine on my 520. The animations are quicker and smoother than ever.

Probably some little bug fixes needed

yeah, it works great on my 521. I like how they sped up the animations.

and many times, my Icon is fast and super smooth.

but a lot of times, when going from an app to the start screen, the tiles come in very rough. fast. but rough. not the normal buttery smooth that you expect windows phone.

yeah, I can see how a soft reset can fix it temporarily. but yeah, I guess we'll get that speed back as they fix bugs and things.
