3D Touch

From reading around the net from various sources it seems 3D Touch is coming to Windows Phone, Ms have gained enough knowledge from Kinect to enable the movement sensor on existing phones to give some touchless gesture support, in fact it can be tested in a basic form from the glance screen set to peek, when the phone goes to sleep, moving your hand in front of the top of the phone triggers the time to display, very basic stuff but at least users can tell if they have the necessary sensor

And it would also be logical to suppose it will be available later this year after Cyan is fully rolled out

Does anyone else have any info on 3d touch and is this the next big world changing thing recently tweeted about .... personally i would have prefered a 3 D screen, im not sure 3D touch actually has me overly excited after all Kinect, although much better on XB1 is stil hit and miss at times

The 3D touch tech is rumored to be built into the screen itself. No lousy multiple cameras set up like fire phone or inaccurate use of front camera like galaxies.
As for the glance peek, that was just clever use of the proximity sensor. Nothing special

Built into the screen ?? On new phones or existing ?? Do you have a link to the source for built in rumour ?

^it'll be built into McLaren's screen. that's why it's called 3D touch instead of "gestures" or whatever because it is truly 3D touch because the touch screen can sense your finger ABOVE it.
