I used Preview for Developers to get 8.1 early on my ATT Lumia 1020. Then, I updated to the official 8.1 about 2 weeks ago. I never have been able to update to Cyan (prob BC I didn't go back to 8.0).

Then this morning I received an Update Notification and did so, thinking it might be Cyan. But it turned out to be 8.1 again, stating it was for Preview for Developers. My current version shows Lumia Black and OS version 8.10.14157.200.

Can anyone explain this?

Here's the explanation why you haven't gotten Cyan.

But if you didn't revert back to 8.0 using the Nokia tools, you're still running a developer preview OS, and you're still not going to get Cyan until MS releases it for that version. As for the update that you did get, apparently it is for the preview OS but without the restriction of having to have the preview app. Interesting.
