Calendar doesn't work

I have gotten my cyan update day before yesterday and noticed immediately that my calendar does not work at all - I can't even enter it. Then I installed new one- simpleCalendar and while it worked yesterday I woke up today to see I can not input new appointments.

I have some games I put quite a few hours into and don't want to hard-reset my phone if I can avoid it. Is there any way to fix this?

This is regular update, I am not part of developer preview.

Try a soft reset, first ...
but, unfortunately you may have to Hard reset to get this to work.

Already tried soft reset- doesn't work.
I hope WP won't turn into android. This interuppted my celebtration over new music player.

So hard reset fixed the problem but just pissed me off more when I realised none of my videos were saved because SkyDrive doesn't save videos for some reason and I couldn't find them anywhere on my phone when I plugged it into my PC. I am really sad to have lost one very fond video. My happiness over new music player is lost.
After hard reset though I finally see a camera roll folder on my PC. So I guess that is something.
