Didn't the People tile used flip and show statuses??

I had the Lumia 920 with WP 8.0 when it first came out and remember the people tile used to flip with updated statuses from my social networks. I left WP for awhile before buying a Lumia Icon and noticed that doesn't happen anymore. Did they remove that? If so, why??

I'm new to Windows phone. I think this is due to update 8.1 (not so sure). I guess we dont need it when we already have the Notification Centre,right??

Was it? What I remembered back in the day of wp8.0 people tile only shows interaction, like Twitter mentions or something, not status updates. I might be wrong, it's been months.

I think if you pinned a person to start it does. Have my wife pinned and flips when she texts me

I could be wrong. Perhaps I created a group and pinned that to my start screen and that's where I'd see the random status updates. That's entirely possible now that I think about it. Lol

I don't recall this. Maybe what nallWhite said but I don't remember the people tile itself ever doing that.

Yeah..you all right..the flip is on tiles of a person and tiles of a group..
