What's the deal with certain notifications?

So I'm sure EVERYONE has noticed this at some point but here's some background. Consider iOS or Android: if you get a facebook notification, for example, it will hit both your phone and your computer. If you address the notification on your computer, the notification on your phone goes away. I noticed that this usually does not happen with WP, and I have to open facebook in order to dismiss the indicator.

Likewise, if I answer a notification from the action center, the indicator (and tile count) will often remain and I would need to open the app again.

Not a deal breaker by any means, but kind of annoying once in a while. Any work around this?

Nope, this is actually more of a pain on Twitter which doesn't sync what viewing notifications on WP although they do it on Android & IOS (only recently).
