I recently tried out Skype on a friends iPhone just to see what it was like and was kind of shocked to see how much better the experience was on his phone than on my 822. The app was just smother, much faster, the functions worked better there was basically no lag or delay and messaging was instantaneous. I suspect it is also like this on Android. Why is it that the experience is so poor on WP. Skype is a Microsoft property and yet its treatment is third rate. I feel like MS is too focused on getting people to use their services on whatever platform they want and not caring enough about actually getting people to use WP. I know Satya's vision is "mobile first, cloud first services" but MS should still stick up for and protect the WP brand and the way to do that is to make apps and experiences the best on WP, and that's just not happening.

Any ideas about why? What is MS's strategy here?
