Are you still using a First Gen WP8 device?

stll using the best windows phone to date ;) the lumia 810. this phone has never given me any problems. sure I use the 830 but the 810 has this special something that makes you come running back to it. just a joy to use. shame that tmobile trashed this phone :/

No kidding, my bother and sister both have and still using their 810 while I have an international 920, all running on T-Mobile, 8.1.1 DP.

Biggest thing that bites about the 810 though is its still on Amber.

My main phone is still my 820, my wife has a 925 and we have a 635 and a 520 as backup phones. After seeing the 920 vs 830 comparison decided the 830 was not worth 450$ more than my 820. Looked at the 735; but can't find one for much under 400$ so decided to pass on it to. Just bought a Moto G lte because of the price of the 735. And even though I wanted the 735 I decided the Moto G lte at 180$ was a much better buy with similar performance. I really believe Microsoft has shot themselves in the foot with what they are doing with phone output. Hope I am wrong.

I own a L920 and unfortunately it is no longer my daily driver as it simply couldn't last as long as I wanted it to. It was a bit of a lemon shall we say?

Aside from a few quirks of W8 I was quite happy. I have to say I was disappointed that no real replacement or upgrade came out that allowed me to upgrade to. I didn't want an intermediate device like the L930 or L830. The 1520 was too big.

So I had to move OS to get what I needed. I'll see about going back to WP in the future. Approximately 2 years from now.

Well the OP meant WP8 ... But I like to think of 920/820s as second gen..

But the first gen were WP7 devices, even if they had the capability of updating but MS decided not to bother.

So the OP was asking 'first gen WP8' devices. Not which phone was first, second or third gen.

Have I mentioned I don't like the numbers? :p

Still using my HTC 8X as a second (work) phone and it's rock solid as a device. Running 8.1.1 via Preview for Developers very nicely. If only HTC had bothered to pay it any attention that it lavishes on its Android offerings. I hope the M8 fairs better but I'm so glad I've now got a Lumia 930, will never go back to HTC ever again.

yea same here, 8x is as good as new for me, But i kind of regret getting an htc instead of lumia, i would trade my 8x for lumia 830 in a blink of an eye, OR even 730...
