High Hotmail Data Usage

Recently, I noticed my data usage has been on the high side. When I checked my Data sense app, I noticed my Hotmail account used almost 500 mb of data and another 500mb of wifi data. I never use that email address. I only have two Bing spam emails from that account! Why is it using up so much data?!

The only thing I can think of here is that you have you sync settings set high on this email address for some reason.

Is this your main MS account?

Other than that maybe do a soft reset and see if that clears it up.

I found the problem by Googling the error code. If you have really high data usage on your main account (without a reasonable explanation like downloading lots of attachments or something), battery drainage and shows it to be out of sync you have to first sync your Trash Folder on that account first.

When I did that, my Hotmail account synced properly and everything is once again peachy. Weird. But hey, battery is back to normal, data drain has stopped. Bada Bing, Bada Lumia...
