What are your tricks and tips to get more volume in WP 8.1?

I would like to be able to enjoy more volume on my Nokia Lumia 1020, I'm just at a loss to find a way to do it. Now this may be an OS limit or Lock for a developer but can the audio be boosted?

I know I was able to push the volume up some on my old Windows Phones with the addition of an app.

So beyond that what have you done to push sound from your lumia?

The Speaker on a Lumia is not the issue. I was more thinking how do people get more sound from earphones.

What would be best buds, over ear....brand or model.
