So how can I deploy an APPX file to a Lumia?

I actually know how to do it on a PC with WP 8.1 SDK installed, but I don't want to install it now since I'm on Windows 10, it takes too much space, and I don't use it further than that. Since my 920 is on Denim, I want to give the "cracked" Lumia Camera 5 app a shot (previously couldn't take any photo). Tried everything under the sun and none of them worked with APPX, and I can't get this to work either (keeps showing "Assembly Microsoft.SmartDevice.Connectivity version 12.0.0.0 required".

Have you tried windows phone powertools ?
It requires the latest visual studio also.

Try the express version of VS 2010 ... its 200mb

I havnt to be honest and yes I read their forums and I know a little bit about it and im trying to help with what I know and being honest ...
Power tools wont work without vs I have tried launching it ...
You can still try vs express 2010 ..
I have the stub and I have tonnes of other stuff on my download queue that's why im hesitating.

and FYI i have been trying to find a fix for this since PFD started....
so should i let you know the results after im done with VS express 2010 ?

well i tried Power Tools with VS express 2010 version
no luck getting device connected
but i found a version of WP power tools compatible with VS 2013
ran it but cant connect because i need full VS 2013

hey

Just install the WP 8.1 sdk lite (and VS 2010 express to be safe)
you can deploy apps
with that i just did !
for the power tools to work you need the full VS i guess
